Join us as we explore solutions around accessing data and wi-fi, the first in a series of events designed to help you respond to the ‘digital revolution’ in your community.

Finding solutions that provide an affordable and sustainable connection to the internet is one of the biggest challenges faced by communities tackling digital exclusion.

In this event we will explore short-term solutions which could provide access at a community level, as well as the longer-term changes that need to take place to ensure everyone has access.

Joining us will be:

  • Nick Gardham representing the #OperationWifi campaign alliance
  • Paul Hewitson from Hartlepower’s community broadband project
  • Michelle Del Rosso from Bolton at Home and Tonge with the Haulgh Big Local on the potential role of social prescribing
  • Geoff Nuttall on the digital inclusion efforts of Bolton at Home Housing Association

Short presentations will be followed by time for questions and group discussions to find out more about the mechanics of each project and what other communities are working on.

We encourage anybody interested in this topic to join our dedicated Workplace group, and/ or email Ellie at ellie.pope@localtrust.org.uk who will keep you updated when we have new events and resources on offer.
