We welcome the government’s announcement of its Pride in Place programme, which gives 339 local communities funding and control over how it’s spent.

The NHS 10 Year Plan’s shift toward community-based healthcare is a welcome step, however without deeper partnerships with local organisations, it risks falling short. Long-term funding, community co-design and local infrastructure is required for the Plan to succeed.
