We Are Big Local Event – FAQs

Refreshments will be provided throughout, including: 

• Welcome drinks 

• Drinks on the table 

• A two-course seated dinner 

• Dessert stalls around the room 

Menus include options suitable for a range of dietary needs and will be served according to your registration details.

You will be asked to check your previously submitted dietary requirements before the event. If your needs have changed please email support@localtrust.org.uk as soon as possible.

You do not need a physical ticket. Your confirmation email acts as your booking confirmation. Simply give your name at check-in when you arrive.

If you are no longer able to attend, please let us know as soon as possible by email or phone.

Registration will take place in the entrance foyer of Eastside Rooms. 

Clear signage will be in place and Local Trust staff will be available to guide you.

Attendance is limited to registered participants only.

Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate spouses, partners or children unless they are registered attendees.

Local Trust have booked accommodation for the night of Friday 27 March 2026 for those who requested it. You will receive an email confirming your allocated hotel.

We are using two hotels:

Aloft Birmingham Eastside – (next door to Eastside Rooms – mainly for guests with accessibility needs)

Premier Inn Birmingham City Centre (Exchange Square)

The Priory Queensway,

For Premier Inn Birmingham City Centre (Exchange Square), nearby parking options include:

• NCP Birmingham Londonderry House – under 5-minute walk (£25 for 24 hours)

• Millennium Point Multi-Storey Car Park – approx. 12-minute walk (£12.70 for 24 hours)

We kindly ask that you use Millennium Point Car Park, as it is more cost-effective. Parking costs can be claimed via the expenses form. 

Millennium Point is also a 5-minute walk from Aloft Birmingham Eastside.

If you need to drop off passengers with accessibility needs or luggage, there is a layby outside the hotel and Local Trust staff will be available to assist.

Local Trust are operating a shuttle coach between:

Premier Inn Birmingham City Centre (Exchange Square) and Eastside Rooms.

Shuttle Timetable

4:00pm–6:00pm (Friday 27 March 2026)
Premier Inn → Eastside Rooms 

Return coaches will depart from the main entrance of Eastside Rooms from 9:30pm onwards.

Please allow enough time to board and complete check-in.

Yes. Train travel can be booked or amended up to one week before the event, subject to availability.

Please contact us as soon as possible if your plans change.

Birmingham New Street Station has a taxi rank. Follow the taxi signs inside the station and exit via the lower shopping mall near Leon.

If you require a taxi from either hotel, reception staff can book one for you.

Taxi fares can be claimed via the expenses form.

You can claim reimbursement for eligible travel costs or mileage by completing an expenses form and submitting it with receipts.

Breakfast is included at your hotel and your evening meal is provided. 

Expenses forms will be available:

• At the event, or 

• Online before or after attending.

All expenses must be submitted by Wednesday 8th April. 

The final submission deadline will be clearly stated on the expenses form and in post-event communications. Claims received after this date may not be processed.

Dress code: Sparkle (because you are a star).

This is a celebratory evening event, so we encourage you to dress up and add some sparkle however you choose to interpret it.

Yes. The evening will include: 

• A programme of entertainment

• Opportunities to connect and celebrate

• Interactive games

• A quiet space if you prefer a calmer environment

• A chance to help create a banner for the event

 There will be something for everyone to enjoy.
