The role of the rep in Big Local

5 Apr 2018

A research paper exploring the role of the rep in supporting the delivery of the Big Local programme.

Reps are appointed by Local Trust to offer tailored support to a Big Local area and to share successes and challenges with the organisation. They are a critical part of the programme infrastructure.

This briefing is part of our Local Trust research papers series, originally shared internally with staff. It details the ways reps support Big Local areas, before addressing how areas’ support needs were changing at a critical time in the Big Local programme and what that meant for the role of the rep.

A version of this paper was first published internally by Local Trust in 2018. It was published on the Local Trust website in April 2022.
