On 7 July, Local Trust and Campaign to End Loneliness partnered to host an online panel discussion on how communities can support residents experiencing loneliness during COVID-19 and in the future.
This report summarises the discussion from the event, which was the fourth in a series looking at how communities have responded to COVID-19 and will renew and increase their resilience as a result.
Across the country we’ve seen communities spring into action to address the impacts of isolation and loneliness felt as a result of lockdown, but what lessons are being learnt from this and how will we need to adapt our approach to address the issue of loneliness in the long term?
