Big Local areas across England have been making substantial investments in local community assets. From community hubs to gardens, skate parks and more – these have been major achievements for many Big Local partnerships. As more Big Local areas exit the programme and increasingly look for external funding to maintain and sustain assets protected for the community.

This event will provide the opportunity for Big Local groups to come together to share their experiences, learn about work being delivered by other Big Locals and take time out to reflect on their plans.

Hosted by Local Trust and Locality we will be exploring getting the best plan in place to make your asset strong and successful, including:

  • Developing services that meet the needs of your local community
  • Exploring different income streams
  • Managing your building effectively
  • Planning for the future
  • Business planning

 

We will be hosted by Wargrave Big Local who will share their journey so far with a tour of their hub and community garden. There will also be a chance to chat and share your projects, challenges and questions to other Big Local areas and our facilitators from Locality.

Locality will also be sharing their advice and strategies about how to cope with the cost-of-living crisis including supporting communities to survive difficult times.

For this in person event, Local Trust will cover the cost of travel, expenses, and if travelling a long distance, we will also cover a hotel stay. Please confirm your requirements when you sign up.
