Community assets (acquisition and management)
This is the second community assets workshop with Locality, Local Trust's lead support partner on assets and legal bodies.
As we heard at Big Local Connects, numerous Big Locals are passionate about wrestling to take on local community assets. This is a theme we will be exploring further at this second community assets workshop with Locality, Local Trust’s lead support partner on assets and legal bodies. This online session, led by Mick McGrath will include:
• A reminder of the different routes taken to acquire community assets and key questions Big Local partnerships should be asking themselves
• Business planning
• Understanding lease terms and what to look out for
Gabriel Edwards, Project Lead at William Morris Big Local will be sharing their Big Local experiences including community asset opportunities under consideration and the key decisions they will be looking to make next.
This workshop will include lots of opportunities to ask questions, discuss and share views on the topics raised.
