A workshop looking at how decisions are made in Big Local areas and the role of power dynamics.
We’re going to be exploring:
How can we make decisions in ways that include more residents?
How can we make space for ‘quiet’ voices?
What are the obstacles that stop some partnership members from participating?
A team of researchers from the University of Kent will share insights from their new study. They will reveal, for the first time, a bespoke comic strip specifically designed for Big Local areas, to capture and visually communicate the findings.
The workshop aims to spark discussion around Big Locals’ experiences about decision-making, inclusivity, and power.
This event is aimed primarily at partnership members and Big Local residents. Workers and reps are also welcome.
