Big Local

Windmill Hill

With a population of around 2,500 people, Windmill Hill is part of Runcorn new town. Constructed through the late ‘60s and early ‘70s, it sits on the opposite side of the River Mersey to Widnes. Windmill Hill is surrounded and isolated by forest and green space. The main express way into Runcorn is nearby but residents often use local services as transport costs are high. Housing is dense and mainly made up by smaller dwellings.
