Lynemouth, Cresswell, Ellington and Linton

CELL (Cresswell, Ellington, Linton and Lynemouth) Big Local area is in Northumberland. Around 4,500 people live in the area. The area is recognised for its mining heritage, more recently the area has seen a significant reduction in its traditional industries, and the employment opportunities that these offer.

We have a steering group made up of local people from across the villages and meet regularly with open meetings, welcoming all to attend and take part. We are always looking for people with skills and knowledge who can offer advice or resources or a bit of effort in helping to find out what people's priorities are.

We consider the real future for the area to be the young people and the opportunities open to them. This is why young people are involved in our area's steering group.
