The Barrowcliff Big Local area is a unique area of Scarborough that does not match with any other political or administrative boundaries.

Barrowcliff has a population of around 3,645 people and sits within the wards of Newby and Woodlands in Scarborough. The estate is an urban area located approximately 1.5 miles west of Scarborough town centre. It is primarily residential areas, with most of the estate built in the 1950s.

The whole process will be led by residents, for the benefit of residents, ensuring that Barrowcliff is a safe, friendly and prosperous place to live.

Our vision for Barrowcliff is for it to be a safe, clean and attractive neighbourhood that people are proud of and where everyone has the best possible chances in life.
