About this event

The course aims to equip you with the skills to lead a team of people towards a common goal or task with efficiency and motivation.

The units of study are:

  • developing yourself as a team leader
  • communicating with people outside of the work team
  • managing yourself.

This course is delivered over six days.

Wednesday 7 June 12pm - 5pm
Thursday 8 June 9.30am - 5pm
Friday 9 June 9.30am - 12.30pm
and
Friday 23 June 4.30pm - 8.00pm
Saturday 24 June 9.30am - 5pm
Sunday 25 June  9.30am - 12.30pm

Accreditation

Accreditation is available for this course. In order to gain an ILM Level 2 award, you need to attend the whole course and complete the assessment activities that are in the course workbook. There will be time during the sessions to complete the workbook with support from the tutor.

More about this event

Our courses and events are free for people in Big Local areas. We provide lunch and can provide financial support for travel, childcare and other care costs to residents in Big Local areas. We can also book and pay for travel in advance.

If you are taking part as part of your paid work/employment then we ask that your employer cover your expenses. However, we can pay or contribute towards worker’s expenses in exceptional circumstances.

Northern College
